INTRODUCTION

The newly-opened RM25mil Melaka International Bowling Centre (MIBC) at Melaka International Trade Centre in Ayer Keroh is set to make the state an international venue for bowling competitions while boosting sports tourism.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said the 52-lane MIBC would help promote the sport to a larger number of locals and unearth potential world-class players for the country.

The two-storey centre with a 10,401-square metre area was expected to be completed by July 31 next year and this building the bowling centre was part of the state’s preparations to host Malaysia Games 2010.

Mohd Ali added that the state would host the 45th Qubica AMF World Bowling Championship at MIBC from Nov 13 to 20.
Work on the double-storey bowling centre, spread over 5ha, began on Aug 1, 2007, and completed on July 21 this year.
The centre is owned by state subsidiary Bowlplex Sdn Bhd and managed by Benua Aspirasi Sdn Bhd.
Now Melaka bowling fans can be happy while playing with this MIBC Happy Hour package. The promotion from 3pm to 7pm will be buy 1 games free 1 games.
Price is at 7.00 per game / per person. That’s not all for the early bird 3 Games for only RM10 per game / per person. Early Bird must come 10 A.M to 3PM.
But for those who can come from 7pm to 1am don’t be sad as there is know Late Bird call for you. You will entitle for 4 Games for RM20 per game / per person under the premium package.
